DON’T WAIT TO WEAR IT | FINDING CONFIDENCE.

I’ve talked myself out of wearing this Sézane jacket for the last three weeks, then I finally grew some b*lls and realised I love it, I’m wearing it. You see, there are so many looks i’d love to step out of my house in, and yes, I might feel comfortable wearing just a sports bra in the gym but it might surprise you to hear that i’ve actually never worn a crop top on a night out and I always opt for a swimsuit over a bikini at the beach.

Confidence affects us all, I am confident when at the gym or in the box because I know what i’m doing, I wear a sports bra not to show of my physique but because tops seriously p*ss me off, they get in the way, ride up, ride down and become just another item to pop in the washing machine.  I’ve spent most of life waiting to find my confidence when it comes to fashion, i’ve bought some incredible pieces, key pieces that I am ashamed to admit are still hanging in my wardrobe with the tags on, you see this jacket was the final straw. I adored it on the website for several weeks but after one expresso martini too many it was suddenly out of my wish-list and into my basket, four days later it was in my wardrobe.

The reason for this post is simple, life is short, we will never be as young as we are today, please don’t wait to find a reason to wear something, to express yourself with colour, to show off your skin or rock that sequin dress. We spend so much of our time waiting to like ourselves, waiting for the perfect moment, waiting for a reason to wear something special, when in true fact every single day that we get to wake up should be special, wear the matching underwear, or no underwear for that matter, wear the clothes that make you feel beautiful from the inside out, when you buy it, wear it, you liked it at that exact moment so why wait to show it off? Im curious, what item is hanging in your wardrobe that you are yet find the confidence to wear? Photo Credit: Jenna Mckone.
