HOMEWARE HAUL PART 1: OUR LIVING ROOM

This post contains paid for advertorial by Homesense.

I swear if I left it to my husband our home would contain simply a bed, a fridge and a TV remote. Luckily I love finding the missing piece for each room and have recently switched clothes shopping for homeware hunting.

If you’re yet to come across Homesense then it’s my absolute pleasure to introduce you. Homesense is part of the TK Maxx family, a brand we all know and love, they have over 50 stores here in the UK and is the perfect place to discover unique and beautiful key pieces or little trinkets from big brands and with up to 60% off the original price it’s the perfect place to spend your pennies.

Last week I had the pleasure of taking my mum to their Cambridge store as part of their ‘Secret Sharers’ Campaign, I only wish I hadn’t driven my MINI, as i fell in love with the most incredible silver velvet sofa and at only £379 it was purely finding space for it that stopped me from leaving with it.

The nights are getting a little darker and so I wanted to make my living room a little more snuggly by adding some soft furnishings and warm colours. The first item we couldn’t stop smiling over was this coloured cushion at just £19,99, the colours were so inviting and considering there were only two left I had to buy them before someone else did. Now we all know that candles change everything, especially in Autumn and when my mum spotted this warm tobacco pipe scented black candle for just £5.99 I knew it had to be mine. It’s larger than most candles and has a smell that lights up the whole room, plus it looks pretty bad ass!

We’re big lovers of cocktails and for my birthday I received the most beautiful copper cocktail set so when I spotted the book ’10 Cocktails’ for a very affordable £4.99 I knew it would make the perfect addition alongside these cute marble and copper heart coasters at £9.99 that accidentally found their way into my basket and onto to my coffee table.

I’ve always had a thing for plants as my dad managed to pass down his green fingers, however my partner is an absolute killer of all things green so when I spotted a collection of faux cactus terrariums I had get myself a set, prices ranged from £3,99 for the triangle pot up to £7.99 for the square, I’m yet to find anyone whose guessed that they’re faux as of yet!

I may be a fitness blogger but that doesn’t mean I don’t love a good biscuit from under a snuggly blanket and these two were positioned perfectly next to each other! The Mo Throw was a little more pricey at £59.99 but is the softest throw I have ever owned, not to mention I might end up wearing it out as a winter scarf and the £3.99 biscuit jar is a must in any living room.

I’ve never owned a foot stall and had actually never contemplated having one until my mum propped her feet up on it in the middle of the store, at £27.99 I cannot get over the quality, adore the pattern and felt it would make the perfect seat for my feet, a reason to actually pop my feet up at the end of the day.

I’ve truly loved taking snaps of my home and don’t forget keep checking carlyrowena.com as I’ll be giving you a homeware tour around my bedroom for part two! I also filmed the whole experience as part of this weeks Weekly Vlog ‘Come Shopping With Me’ over on YouTube, click here to watch my mum and I recreating our own version of supermarket sweep!
