If we have good food in our cupboards and mouth-wateringly easy recipes at the tips of our fingers, then eating better becomes ridiculously easy! This is why I’ve teamed up with Alpro to give you my favourite breakfasts perfect for any lifestyle!
If you’ve followed me over the last two years you’ll know that Alpro has long since been a friend in my fridge, and for the last 6 months has been my breakfast and post workout best friend… which is why I am honoured to team up with Alpro for their Change a little, enjoy a lot campaign. This is all about bringing a little variety back into your breakfast!
Today’s recipes are not only to give you a little plant-based inspiration, but they’re also to make your mornings a little brighter, your stomach happier and of course get you a few more likes on your Instagram feed!
Pancakes Yes, you can have your cake and eat it too. This protein pancake recipe is one of my favourites for mornings when I have a little more time and when I say time, it takes under 4 minutes from pan to mouth!
Ingredients & Recipe: 1 scoop protein powder, a quarter cup of rolled oats, 1 egg and a quarter cup of Alpro Oat Original blend together, pop a scoop of coconut oil into a pan and let cook for around 2minutes each side. Once cooked pop on your plate and add a scoop of Alpro Vanilla Big Pot and your favourite fruits or seeds.
Overnight Oats For those of you who are always on the go, up early and home late this is your recipe and it couldn’t be simpler.
Ingredients and Recipe: grab a jar or cup, add half a cup of rolled oats and half a cup of Alpro Soya Original, you can blend together if you want to or just leave as is. It’s up to you what you decide to top it with but my favourite is some grated apple, coconut and a scoop of strawberry jam to sweeten.
Protein Frappe My current go-to breakfast is my Chocolate Protein Frappe, perfect pre or post workout or just for an on-the-go breakfast. It’s so tasty you’d think it would come with a desert label!
Ingredients & Recipe: 1 Banana (But you can also go without) 2 Scoops Belgian Chocolate Protein powder, 1 Scoop Coffee, 5 Ice cubes and 1/4 cup of Alpro Vanilla Big Pot. Again, pop everything into a blender and whiz together for around 30 seconds, you’re welcome!
