I’m all for a good dip of hummus on a cracker or carrot but let me blow your mind with this surprisingly healthy and deliciously rich chocolate hummus. I accidentally created this after trying to make a healthier Nutella.. it was a Sunday craving gone wrong, which lucky turned out right!
Ingredients: 1 can (15 ounces) of chickpeas, 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey, 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract, Cinnamon (optional).
Recipe: Pop the above ingredients except water into a food processor or blender, Blend until smooth, adding up to 1/4 cup water to reach desired consistency. (Add water a little at a time so you don’t overdo it.) Enjoy slathered on bread or as a dip, sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.
