There’s nothing quite like looking over the London skyline as you bend and breathe your way through 26 yoga poses. On Sunday I headed to the infamous giant in the sky that is The Shard for a delicious plant based breakfast with Alpro and Asquith clothing for their #Alpronista event. The beautiful Amy Slevin guided us through 26 yoga poses which were to reflect the tiny 26 calories per 200ml glass that are in Alpro’s latest unsweetend almond milk, it was a clever idea as whenever I now make pancakes or smoothies i’m going to think of trying to do a headstand or the crow.
Breakfast felt like a banquet, from cherry-bakewell muesli to plant based porridge, flapjacks, smoothie cocktails and berry compote pancakes, my eyes were certainly bigger than my belly and thanks to the talented Calgary Avansino who is the lady behind eat.free.live.well I learnt some simple but effective ways to get more plants onto my plate.
It was so lovely to feast and be able to catch up with fitness friends such as Lydia Millen and her boyfriend Ali Gordon, Nicola from NicsNutrition, Freya from FitnessonToast and Rhiannon from FashionRocksMySocks, each person has so much knowledge in different areas so it’s lovely to be able to talk fitness freely as we took in the spectacular skyline views. Almond milk has always been a regular feature in our kitchen so I’m excited that it now has even fewer calories per glass, that mean’s I can have more, right?
